What if the after-school activity were the best part of the week? Surf when there are waves, surfskate when there aren’t: our after-school groups keep moving all school year, with the sea always the priority.

The best part: you build the group. Get together 3 to 8 kids from the same school and we provide the instructor, the vehicle and the gear. We pick them up at the school gate and head to the activity.

On the way back we plan a route around the whole group and drop every child as close to home as we can, between 18:30 and 19:30 depending on where we went that day. Families don’t have to worry about a thing.

Much more than sport: we work on effort, respect for the sea, teamwork and connection with nature.

“This is the best surfing school in Barcelona as they are not sitting in the same beach and always searching for waves. They helped our son to learn surfing.”

How does it work?

  • Build the group: 3 to 8 kids from the same school or class. If your kid brings two friends along, you’re on.
  • Pick day and time: tell us which day (or days) of the week you want and what time school ends, and we assign an instructor and a vehicle to the group.
  • We pick them up at the gate and go to the activity: surf if there are waves, surfskate if not. We don’t always go to the same beach: each afternoon we pick the spot with the best conditions for them.
  • On the way back we run a route that works for the whole group and drop each child as close to home as we can, between 18:30 and 19:30 depending on where we went.

In the darker months, groups that finish school later mostly do surfskate; as soon as daylight allows, we’re back in the water. And some afternoons we merge two groups that finish at the same time, even from different schools, when it works better for everyone: we always tell you beforehand.

The way home and the WhatsApp group

We pick them up at school, but where we go changes every afternoon: we head wherever the sea and the light are best that day. That’s why drop-off isn’t a fixed time and runs between 18:30 and 19:30.

Every group has its own WhatsApp group with the instructors, where we share our live location from the moment we pick the kids up until we hand them back. You always know where they are and when they’ll arrive.

We build the route from the addresses of the whole group, so that nobody ends up with a long detour.

The course, September to June

  • The after-school groups run for the whole school year, until the end of June.
  • We follow each group’s school calendar: there’s no activity during its holidays — Christmas, Easter and any half-term breaks — or on public holidays.
  • There are no sessions in July and August and nothing is charged: that’s what the summer camp is for.

When there are no waves, or there’s no daylight left after school, the session still goes ahead on surfskate. It isn’t cancelled.

Cold, wetsuits and what to bring

The cold isn’t a problem: we provide the wetsuit, and from November to March they’re proper winter wetsuits, the right thickness. The kids don’t get cold in the water.

We also provide board, helmet and pads. All they need to bring is swimwear, a towel and dry clothes to change into.

The wetsuit is ours to lend for the whole year, so there’s nothing you need to buy. And if you’d rather they had their own, we can get you a discount on the best brands.

Payments and cancellations

  • The fee is charged to a card on the 1st of each month. Nothing is charged in July or August.
  • If at some point you want to stop, cancellation takes effect at the end of the term and has to be requested before the 15th of the last month.

Frequently asked questions

How do we build the group?
Get at least two friends together: from 3 kids the group is on, and it can grow up to 8. Usually they’re from the same school, but we can also combine two nearby schools if you agree on the times.
Can kids from different schools be put together?
Sometimes, yes. Normally each group comes from a single school, but when two groups finish at the same time and it makes organisational sense, we merge them: the instructor and the vehicle are used better, and the kids end up making friends from other schools. It isn’t the norm, and we always tell you beforehand.
How long do the after-school activities run?
The whole school year, until the end of June. We follow each group’s school calendar: we stop for its holidays (Christmas, Easter and any half-term breaks) and on public holidays. There are no sessions in July and August and nothing is charged.
How much do the after-school activities cost?
The school year costs 115€ a month for one day a week and 190€ a month for two, plus a 100€ joining fee with the T-shirt. Sign up by 1 October and you pay 90€ and 150€, at that price until 31 December; from January it moves to the school-year rate. And if you sign up by 15 October, there’s no joining fee. Monthly payment, with pick-up, gear and instructors included.
Do they get cold in winter?
No. We provide the wetsuit, and from November to March they’re winter wetsuits of the right thickness, plus board, helmet and pads. All they bring is swimwear, a towel and dry clothes. We lend the wetsuit for the whole year; if you’d rather buy them their own, we can get you a discount on the best brands.
Surf or surfskate?
If there are waves, surf; if not, surfskate. Surf is always the priority. In winter, groups that finish school late do more surfskate because it gets dark earlier.
What time do you bring them back?
Between 18:30 and 19:30, depending on where we did the activity that day. On the way back we run a route using the addresses of the whole group and drop each child as close to home as we can. We share our live location in the WhatsApp group with the instructors.
What if my kid doesn’t have a group?
Write to us and we’ll tell you which groups and timetables are already running in case one fits. Still, the best option is building a group with schoolmates: kids enjoy it more and the schedule adapts to you.
Do you pick up and drop off the kids?
Yes. We pick them up when school ends and on the way back we run a route planned around the whole group, dropping every child as close to home as we can, between 18:30 and 19:30.
How do we pay and what if we want to stop?
The fee is charged to a card on the 1st of each month; July and August are not charged. If you want to stop, cancellation takes effect at the end of the term and has to be requested before the 15th of the last month.
What ages?
From age 5. Write to us with your child’s year and we organise the right group.

Shall we set up your school’s group?

Write to us with the school, how many kids you are, the day that suits you and the pick-up time, and we’ll get it organised.

Which days work for you?
