Second-hand boards

Noticeboard terms

Short and clear: this is a noticeboard, not a shop.

We are not party to the sale

This is a noticeboard. Whoever sells is the one who answers for their board, for what they say about it and for the handover. We take no commission, we do not handle payment, we ship nothing, we do not inspect boards and we do not answer for the transaction. If something goes wrong, it is between buyer and seller.

Advice we do give

Meet somewhere public and in daylight. Look at the board in person before you pay. Be wary of anyone asking for a deposit up front without letting you see it. And if you are unsure whether a board fits you, ask us: we take nothing from the sale, so what we say is not coloured by it.

What data we ask for

From the seller: name and email, so we can pass messages on. From whoever writes: name, email and the message. We pass them to the other side and that is it. No email is ever published on the site. We keep messages for a year in case we need to help recover something.

Listings expire

After 60 days a listing comes down on its own and its address stops existing. Whoever posted it can renew it from their panel while the board is still for sale. Marking it sold does the same. This is deliberate: a board full of boards sold years ago is no use to anyone.

Taking a listing down

Whoever posted it deletes it from their panel whenever they like. And if one has to come down for any other reason — a stolen board, a photo that is not the poster's, anything odd — write to hello@bcnsurfschool.es and we take it down. Without arguing.

What can be listed

Surf gear: boards, paddleboards, wetsuits, fins, board bags and accessories, from individuals and from local shops. No stolen gear, no counterfeits, no listings for anything else. Wetsuits and anything else worn on the body are sold used the way clothing is sold: the buyer decides, and the seller tells the truth about the condition it is in. We reserve the right to remove whatever does not fit — the board is ours, after all.
